Tradition & History

Since 1959 – A Family Legacy

Since 1959, the history of Santarelli Marine has been deeply rooted in a passion for the sea and the entrepreneurial spirit of a visionary family. The story began in Ajaccio, when Jean Santarelli Senior left the family business to devote himself fully to boating, alongside his sons Toussaint and Claude. With limited resources but unwavering determination, they laid the foundations of a small company then known as Nautique Caravaning, specialising in the sale of small boats and caravans.

In 1970, despite the hardship caused by Jean Santarelli Senior’s illness, Toussaint and his wife Betty continued to develop the business and officially founded Santarelli Marine, establishing the company on Ricanto beach. The activity became more structured, the first boat shows were attended, and the family business began to secure a lasting position within the yachting industry.

This passion for the sea was naturally passed on to the next generation. A high-level athlete, former member of the French national and Olympic windsurfing teams and World Championship silver medallist, Jean-Christophe Santarelli competed at the highest international level before joining the family business in 1992, driven by the same commitment and dedication that had shaped the company from its origins.

In 1997, a devastating fire completely destroyed the facilities and the fleet. Faced with this major challenge, Jean-Christophe Santarelli took on the responsibility of rebuilding the family business, with a clear determination to preserve and develop the legacy passed down through generations.

Over the years, Santarelli Marine has experienced continuous growth. In 2010, Nathalie Santarelli joined the company and played an active role in developing high-end yacht charter and yacht management activities, covering operational, administrative, legal and financial aspects.

Today, Santarelli Marine represents more than three generations of experience dedicated to luxury yachting. The company relies on modern infrastructure, highly skilled teams and an unwavering commitment to quality to support its clients in yacht sales, purchases, charter and management across France and the Mediterranean.

A Unique Approach to Yachting

At Santarelli Marine, client support lies at the heart of everything we do. Available 24/7, we adapt our commitment to every situation, every project and every yacht owner, with constant attention to detail and individual expectations.

Because every yacht, every usage and every ambition is unique, we go far beyond the simple sale of a product or service. We approach each case globally, addressing even the most complex challenges with a pragmatic, proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

Our belief is simple: yacht ownership should remain a seamless, enjoyable and truly rewarding experience. Free from uncertainty and constraints, we ensure that every stage — from acquisition to operation — is anticipated, controlled and fully supported.

Selling or maintaining a yacht is within the reach of many players in the industry. Supporting, advising and serving our clients over the long term, however, is the very essence of our philosophy.

Beyond the sale and purchase of new and pre-owned yachts, yacht charter and crewed charter services, Santarelli Marine delivers a comprehensive yachting management approach covering the entire lifecycle of the yacht.

Our services include the sale and purchase of new and pre-owned yachts as official distributors of Princess Yachts, Pardo Yachts and Boston Whaler, full yacht management from order to delivery, administrative and customs formalities, registration and flagging, complete charter and crew management, concierge services, lifting and transport operations, winter storage, mechanical maintenance, full refit services and private marina support.

Entrusting your project to Santarelli Marine means choosing a single, reliable partner capable of managing your entire yachting experience, from A to Z, with expertise, transparency and passion.

Technical and Commercial Hubs

Our Infrastructure | Santarelli Marine

In 2007, Jean-Christophe Santarelli initiated the construction of a first technical hangar covering 7,500 m², located within a fully secured 16,000 m² site, designed to meet the growing demands of high-end yachting.
In 2019, the site was significantly expanded with the addition of a new concrete building of more than 2,000 m², offering a storage volume of 15,000 m³ and integrating offices, specialised workshops and state-of-the-art facilities dedicated to yacht storage and maintenance.

This technical hub allows for:

  • indoor winter storage of open and flybridge yachts ranging from 6 to 30 metres in complete security

  • the execution of all technical interventions, maintenance operations and refit projects

  • full yacht management, covering both operational and administrative aspects

The technical teams of Santarelli Marine hold official certifications from internationally recognised engine manufacturers such as Mercury, Volvo Penta and MAN, reflecting the high level of expertise, operational rigour and continuous training implemented within the company.

Ideally located next to Ajaccio International Airport, the Canova site serves as the main administrative, technical and commercial hub of Santarelli Marine, operating year-round. It brings together highly qualified professionals with backgrounds in engineering and management, as well as experienced technicians and mechanics capable of addressing all technical challenges.

Thanks to a substantial stock of spare parts and ship chandlery items, combined with decades-long relationships with leading suppliers, the workshops are supplied efficiently, ensuring responsiveness and operational continuity.

In addition, Santarelli Marine operates several strategic locations in Ajaccio, including a dedicated charter and yacht rental agency and a secured private pontoon. These facilities allow for immediate support to yacht owners, whether for berthing, concierge services, yacht preparation or operational assistance.

Designed in 2009, the private Santarelli Marine pontoon, ideally positioned at the entrance of Ajaccio harbour, accommodates yachts up to 40 metres. Accessible both seasonally and year-round, it provides a confidential and secure environment featuring video surveillance, controlled access, concierge services and dedicated dockside assistance.

Through this comprehensive infrastructure, Santarelli Marine delivers a complete, high-end yachting experience, enabling clients to enjoy seamless, secure and serene yacht ownership in one of the most sought-after destinations in the Mediterranean.
